This newsletter provides an overview of all upcoming activities for PhD students organized by the doctoral schools and links to other potentially interesting events or information.

1. UHasselt career week

Employees who feel they can be true to themselves, who are seen for who they are and who can grow - that's what the UHasselt Career Center is all about. A well-functioning university - delivering excellent research and education and actively contributing to the development of society - is only possible with motivated employees who are given opportunities to develop to the maximum. Self-insight is an important first step. To launch the Career Center, all UHasselt employees are cordially invited to participate in the career week, from January 16 to 20, 2023. Immerse yourself in career development opportunities and boost your career! Check the programme online and register before 11/01/23!

2. Interuniversity job market for young researchers - Save the date

After three successful editions the 5 Flemish universities again organise an interuniversity job market for young researchers. The 2023 edition will be organised in Ghent (Flanders Expo) and will open its physical doors on March 23, 2023 (12:00-18:00). The live job fair will be preceded by a diversified online programme (between February 2 and March 17, 2023). Detailed information will follow soon. Registration will be possible as of 1 February 2023.

5. Flanders’ training network for methodology and statistics (FLAMES)

Courses on statistics and methodology, which take place throughout the academic year at all Flemish universities. The FLAMES summer school and courses organized at Hasselt University are listed in this newsletter; the others can be found on the FLAMES website.
