1. Course 'Does science need a friend - A mindful/mindset perspective on sustainability'

In academia, the emphasis is often on using science to develop solutions for the numerous crises we face. While science plays a crucial role, it alone may not be enough to drive real change. Solutions frequently target lower-level leverage points, but a fundamental transformation requires a shift in our paradigm or mindset. This program aims to inspire individual mindset changes, which can create a ripple effect, leading to broader societal shifts. Join us for an enlightening course with Prof. dr. Ir. Griet Verbeeck, where we reflect on sustainability from seven unique perspectives. This highly reflective program, consisting of seven 2-hour sessions, challenges our current views on sustainability and encourages us to explore diverse perspectives. Reflect on sustainability in a new way—register today & before April 03!

2. Boost your career: Interuniversity job market for young researchers

PhDs & postdocs, the interuniversity Job Market for Young Researchers (Flanders Expo Ghent, 27 March) is thé place to network, explore top career opportunities, and make impactful connections. If you’re not there, you’re definitely missing out! Take a look at the on-site career sessions that are offered and prepare yourself to get in touch with several representatives of companies that you would like to work for! Don't wait to register via this link

3. Fast forward: Project management and personal productivity training for researchers

Would you like to transform the way you work and do you long for a well-structured approach to your research project? Dr. Nadine Sinclair will help you implement an agile project and personal productivity system in your research projects. This 7-week training takes place digitally and is a great way to learn how to prioritize tasks and to improve your research. There is an optional info session on March 28, 2025 - 10:00-10:30 if you would like to find out more before participating. More details and info can be found here

4. Let's talk science

Want to get a taste of the world of science communication? The applications for a Let's talk science account are open right now! Registering for Let's Talk Science is a two-step procedure. First, we check if you are eligible to participate. Due to limited places, we give priority to PhD students and postdocs. Starting from April 28, 2025, approved participants can log in and register for programme items. You can register for a maximum of two workshops apart from the plenary session.
