This newsletter provides an overview of all upcoming activities, either organized specifically for postdocs or for postdocs and PhD students combined, and links to other potentially interesting events or information.

1. Well-being at UHasselt 'From mental wealth to balanced health'

On February 6, 2023 the doctoral schools of Hasselt university are organising an online well-being-event. Whether you are a starting PhD student or a more experienced postdoc, you might face certain challenges during your academic career. The main purpose of this online event is to provide information and tools that could help to get a better grip on your work-life balance and mental health. The programme starts with an introduction and presentation of various supportive services at UHasselt. Afterwards, Prof. Anja Van den Broeck will give an interesting talk on well-being and motivation. The afternoon will end with an interactive keynote by dr. Karolien Notebaert in which she will dwell upon self-regulation and resilience. Check the programme and register before January 23!

2. Suggestion box doctoral schools

The doctoral schools programme is meant to meet PhD students’ and postdocs’ needs and wishes. The requirements are aimed to be justified but doable, and the procedures to be as efficient as possible. The doctoral schools team truly appreciates your input. Through an online form, you can share any ideas or feedback with respect to the doctoral schools (course offer, requirements, …). You can do so anonymously, although you are of course also free to mention your name. All suggestions and feedback are considered. If you leave your name, we will get back to you. Anonymous posts, as well as personal posts that are relevant to everyone, will be addressed on this intranet page

3. Interuniversity job market for young researchers - Save the date

After three successful editions the 5 Flemish universities again organise an interuniversity job market for young researchers. The 2023 edition will be organised in Ghent (Flanders Expo) and will open its physical doors on March 23, 2023 (12:00-18:00). The live job fair will be preceded by a diversified online programme (between February 2 and March 17, 2023). Detailed information will follow soon. Registration will be possible as of February 1, 2023.
