2. Stakeholder engagement meeting: Connect with the world beyond academia

On November 14, 2024 the doctoral schools of Hasselt University are organising a PhD Talent Stakeholder Engagement Meeting, together with the four other Flemish Universities. The aim of this meeting is to connect researchers with companies and several organisations. In this way, we want to bridge the gap between academia and the non-academic world. Join us to connect and exchange with peer-researchers from the five Flemish universities and companies from the non-academic labour market looking for PhD talent. 5. Open Access training day at UHasselt

On October 24, 2024, UHasselt's Library and Research Data Management team organize a training day to empower you with essential skills and knowledge in Open Science, enhancing your research visibility and success. During this day you will learn how to effectively use data management plans, FAIR data principles and open data practices to improve your projects. You will learn more about UHasselt's Open Access policy, on how to find reputable journals and on how to leverage ORCiD for your research. You will also gain insights from fellow researchers on their Open Science experiences. Secure your spot by registering here by October 16.

3. HR Department

4. School of Expert Education (SEE)

Training for professionals, built on academic expertise with the aim of creating a unique learning environment to refine and broaden your expertise. You can find their course offer here (courses are mostly in Dutch).

5. Flanders’ training network for methodology and statistics (FLAMES)

Courses on statistics and methodology, which take place throughout the academic year at all Flemish universities. The FLAMES summer school and courses organized at Hasselt University are listed in this newsletter; the others can be found on the FLAMES website.

7. EURECA-PRO

The EURECA-PRO Alliance consists of 9 partners who joined forces to enable students, researchers and staff to study, teach and research in the field of responsible consumption and production with the long-term goal of a joined virtual and integrated European campus until 2040. They also organize regular activities for (young) researchers.
