High-quality concrete granulates for sustainable road construction. (Research)

The goal of this project is to tackle these 3 bottlenecks and to provide in: - A methodology to ensure that recycling firms of construction and demolition waste can easily determine which concrete granulates are 'high-quality'; - Guidelines regarding the production of concrete recipes using high-quality concrete granulates. Hereby, important considerations are developed to produce this concrete in a standard production centre of ready-mixed concrete; - A tool for contractors of road construction to determine, depending on the road component that has to be poured, how this concrete mixture can be placed in a sustainable manner; These three goals should enable the companies of different target groups - grinding mills, concrete mixing plants and road constructors - to immediately put this into practice.
