Francqui Chair dr. Jürgen Steimle : "The Future of Interaction" (Research)

The Francqui Foundation supports through the framework of "Francqui Chairs" the invitation of distinguished scientists for stays at Belgian universities, where they should participate in the scientific life and provide specialized teaching. Following a proposal of the Faculty of Sciences of Universiteit Hasselt, the Francqui Foundation has appointed dr. Jürgen Steimle (Max Planck Institute for Informatics and Saarland University - Germany) to hold the Chair 2016 and organize an educational course of the highest level in his field integrated within the symposium and lecture series "The Future of Interaction : from paper displays to interactive skin" from February 23 to February 26 2016. During a truly cross-disciplinary symposium and lecture series distinguished speakers from several domains ranging from art to human-machine interaction discuss various aspects of this exciting evolution at the cross-roads of design, electronics, informatics, physics, biology and neurology. This event is an organization of Universiteit Hasselt-Faculty of Sciences in collaboration with EDM-iMinds, IMO-IMOMEC & X-LaB with support of the Francqui Foundation.
