Thematic network for functional layers (Education)

The University of Zweibrucken (Kaiserslautern - Germany) submitted a project to give students the opportunity to study 1 full academic year abroad during their education. With Hasselt University a plan was constructed for 4 years in order to establish a structural collaboration (Joint Degree) at the end of those 4 years. At first hand, students will come from Germany to Hasselt University as part of the organisation of bachelor and master thesisses, but there will also be the possibility for students from Hasselt University to go to Zweibrucken for their thesis. Furthermore, there will be a workshop about functional layers every year and there will be strategy meetings to discuss further collaboration and develop a joint program.
