Active Learning-centered Design Thinking in education (Education)

Abstract

The Faculty of Sciences is developing (an) innovative didactics and syllabus, Active Learning-centered Design Thinking (Active-LeDT). Active-LeDT guides (STEM) education developers in expanding 21st century employability skills and offers them handles to play into a continuously changing social context. Active-LeDT trains education developers into becoming decisive, autonomous and self-managing key-figures in the education landscape of the future. Moreover, Active-LeDT didactics have a wide basis: education developers, teachers and students. Within Hasselt University, Active-LeDT fits into the global package of educational course units as preparation for the educational masters, as well as the educational professionalization course offer. Outside of those, Active-LeDT's range of application covers the association level (AUHL) and the entire education community.
