Analysis of the impact of shear force resistance calculation rules on the justification of existing bridges (Research)
Abstract
This project, financed by the Walloon Region, is a partnership between the Universities of Liège, Hasselt and Brussels with the control office SECO. It aims to develop a method for evaluating the shear resistance of post-tensioned concrete girders made in the 1960s to 1980s and designed according to the allowable stress method. In this project, the mission of Hasselt University is essentially experimental and consists of testing three bridge beams taken during the refurbishment work of the Huccorgne viaduct to feed and validate the proposed procedures
