Francqui chair prof. dr. André Loeckx (Research)

Professor Emeritus André Loeckx will give four workshop sessions at the Faculty of Architecture and Art of UHasselt in the framework of the Francqui Chair. These sessions contribute to the search of the faculty and the university for the social or civic role they should play internationally and in the region. Each session will be introduced by Prof. Loeckx through a more or less extensive lecture and will address a specific target audience. The first session is about urban renewal and is linked to a workshop with the (second) master students of our faculty. The second session addresses the Global South initiatives of the faculty and addresses concerned staff. The third session deals with participatory research and addresses researchers from Arck, MAD and LUCA. The final session constitutes a concluding public lecture with an university-wide debate on the relationship between architectural education and society.
