(Re)discovering soil life! (Research)
Abstract
Soil quality is an essential theme in agriculture. A fertile soil is indispensable to meet the increasing demand for food. Today, however, farmers often do not know what soil quality actually means. The project aims to clarify the concept of soil quality in an educational and participative way by closely involving farmers in the analysis of their agricultural lands. By means of training at profile pits by experts in the field, farmers are extensively and correctly informed about soil quality, including biological soil life
