Title
Technological support to improve quality of working life and to increase employment rates in the Flemish Manufacturing Industry (Research)
Abstract
The goal of this living lab is to evaluate the deployability of new Industry 4.0 solutions or methodologies for improving the quality of working life in production environments and to increase the level of knowledge in this regard among the target group through a phased introduction of these techniques. The project features a unique approach in which on the one hand needs and demands will be mapped out via a set of personas, while on the other hand the status of technical supportive measures at a sufficiently high TRL level will be examined (using 9 technology demonstrators) and converted into useful technical support. Both will be linked to each other in order to gain insights into the usability, feasibility and effectiveness of the solutions. Companies, civil society organizations, VDAB (Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding) and personas will be actively involved in this effort. Enabled by this approach, various intersections between needs (represented by the personas) and technological support (represented by a demonstrator) can be linked and studied, after which the results can be disseminated in a targeted manner to the different stakeholders (companies and civil society organisations) during the project. These stakeholders can also build on results and insights after the pilot project has ended.
