Color Your Moves: implementation of the ICP-move concept in sports activities for children
with an intellectual disabilities (Research)
Abstract
Previous research showed that children with intellectual disabilities participate limited in sports
activities. The Inclusive Color Picture-move (ICP-move) concept is an innovative concept, in which
colors and pictures support the instructions given to children. It is expected that this concept
enhances children's motor learning, motivation for sports and perceived self-competence. In collaboration with G-Sport Vlaanderen, this study
aims to investigate feasibility of the ICP-move concept in sports activities for children with
intellectual disabilities.
