IOF mandate Faculty of Architecture and Arts (ARK) 2024-2028 (Research)

ARK sees valorization as a process and not merely as an end product of research. This is partly made possible by the way our research is designed as well as the research methods we use and develop, starting from a designerly and artistic context. This unique research framework makes it possible to establish a strong connection with relevant stakeholders and actors right from the start of a research project, ensuring that valorization permeates the entire process and impact is generated across time horizons, social and spatial scales and domains (social, health & wellbeing, environmental, cultural, policy & democracy, economic). This project defines the IOF mandate project for ARK. The IOF mandatary will continue to provide support in 3 areas: 1. Valorization strategy, 2. Project applications, collaborations and IP, 3. Activities and output. We identified goals and actions linked to increasing the IOF output. In particular, the mandate project will focus on IOF key parameters P3 (contract research) and P4 (European framework program). In addition, we identified actions linked to our ambition in order to enhance our uniqueness and identity of our impact. Those actions are related to our civic profile and include the positioning of ARK as reference for design with and for policy, communities and industry
