The LULUCF-Regulation: in theory and in practice. (Research)

This project aims to clarify the LULUCF Regulation at both the theoretical and practical levels. For the theoretical part, it is planned to outline the policy framework whilst also giving a clear picture of the scope and accounting rules. In addition, the practical part aims to examine, on the one hand, how the mandatory accounting is implemented in practice and, on the other hand, how LULUCF can potentially be integrated into permit procedures. Herewith, a legal comparison with another EU Member State is also provided.
