Study on the photophysics of novel 2D hybrid perovskites containing tailored organic cations (Research)

Abstract

The photophysics of 2D hybrid perovskites containing tailored organic cations is poorly understood at this moment. In this project, various time-resolved spectroscopy techniques will be used to gain a detailed understanding of the photophysics of these hybrid materials. This will be done in collaboration with the Optoelectronic Materials and Device Spectroscopy Group (StranksLab) of Prof. dr. Sam Stranks at the physics department of the University of Cambridge. The results of this study will improve basic understanding of this new class of semiconductors and uncover processes that are highly relevant towards their use in optoelectronic devices such as solar cells, photodetectors and LEDs.
