Project R-15016

Title

Innovative plant growth promotion analysis in sustainable agriculture (Research)

Abstract

INNOPGPLAN focuses on evaluating and predicting the effects of components and/or treatments on plant growth and crop yield. This is made possible by the combination of climate chambers with an innovative, camera-based phenotyping system that enables dynamic monitoring of plant growth and health. The advanced screening platform represents enormous added value (1) in the selection procedure within the product development of, among other things, biostimulants, (2) for research in the transition to sustainable agriculture with attention to the valorization of all residual fractions of cultivations, such as extraction of high-quality plant components from these biomasses. Both objectives contribute to resilient agriculture with added value and focus on mitigating climate change. This research infrastructure supports strategies in the search for sustainable solutions within the transition to sustainable agriculture (PLANET), and stimulates new B2B collaborations (PROFIT) that both benefit human health (PEOPLE).
