Title
Intelligibility in Variational Direct Modeling (Research)
Abstract
The goal of this innovation mandate is to ease the process of working with parametric models in
variational direct modeling, an emerging CAD modeling paradigm for creating 3D models. Rather than
creating fully automated solutions for realizing parametric models, this project will focus on intelligibility
techniques that provide designers with suggestions and explanations, empowering them to make
informed decisions regarding parameters and constraints throughout the design process.
