Building with Fragments. (Research)

Prof dr Bie Plevoets is assistant professor in heritage and adaptive reuse at the Faculty of Architecture and Art at UHasselt. Within the Trace research group, she conducts research on the theorisation of adaptive reuse and design strategies to intervene in existing buildings. Her most recent project (FWO senior postdoc fellowship) investigates the potential of ruin and ruination as a redesign strategy. With the Francqui Start Up grant, she will further deepen this research and develop it into a book.
