AI-supported inclusive education and personalised learning at UHasselt. (Education)

In this IOP project, we design, develop and evaluate an AI-based tool to support teachers and students in monitoring the competence growth of students and individualise their learning trajectories to optimise study progress. Here, a human-centred approach is central to using such technology in a didactically sound way without creating a barrier to interpersonal interaction with students. In addition, this project will focus on increasing AI knowledge within all UHasselt educational programs by highlighting the specific opportunities, challenges and pitfalls of AI. In this way, we want to take an important first step towards the innovative and didactically responsible use of AI in education at UHasselt.
