sINglet and Triplet Energy traNSfer In Two-dimensional hYbrid perovskites (INTENSITY) (Research)

Abstract

By combining the excellent semiconducting properties of metal-halide frameworks with the immense functionalization possibilities of organic molecules, two-dimensional (2D) Hybrid Organic-Inorganic Perovskites (HOIPs) represent the ideal playground to obtain novel materials with targeted opto-electronic properties. Both charge and energy transfer between the inorganic and organic components have been reported in these hybrids. In INTENSITY, we aim at designing and synthesizing novel 2D HOIPs with optimized inorganic-organic energy transfer. This will be achieved through a holistic combination of synthetic chemistry, optical spectroscopy, and theory and simulations.
