Title
A Delphi study on the use of artificial intelligence for disability issues for the FPS Social Security. (Research)
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is crucial to the current digital transformation, significantly impacting various sectors including social security. In Belgium, the number of long-term incapacitated workers now exceeds the unemployed, this challenges the system, especially since many individuals in this group must undergo assessments to determine their ability to return to work. AI can assist in analyzing medical reports and functional tests to determine individuals' work capabilities. Implementing AI in social security presents challenges such as public perception, ethical concerns, and data privacy issues. Comprehensive regulations and best practices are necessary to ensure AI's safe and effective integration into social security systems. This project aims to comprehensively understand the ethical challenges and identify best practices for the integration of AI into social security practices.
