Essays in process analytics in healthcare (Research)
Abstract
The healthcare sector is confronted with a multitude of challenges, such as the increasing demand for care due to the ageing population, while being constrained by limited budgets and soaring staff shortages. These challenges have intensified the need for process analysis and improvement. Process analytics, i.e. the nalysis of processes using digital data from a variety of potential sources, can play a pivotal role in improving healthcare delivery. This research project will focus on topics within the area of process analytics in healthcare, aiming to support healthcare organizations to better understand and improve their processes in a data-driven way.
