Project 'EHBOCE - First Aid Training for the Circular Economy'. (Research)

The project EHBOCE (First Aid in Training for the Circular Economy) aims to educate participants from diverse backgrounds on the principles and applications of the circular economy. Hasselt University (UHasselt), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) and werecircle are therefore developing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) focused on education for the circular economy. The MOOC consists of two parts: a MOOC on the circular economy and a MOOC specifically for teachers. The first MOOC aims to let participants from very different backgrounds gain knowledge about the circular economy. The second MOOC aims to professionalise teachers in higher and adult education to teach for the transition from a linear to a circular economy. Each module in the MOOC is designed to make participants read, listen, watch and reflect, using interactive elements such as quizzes, fill-in-the-blank exercises and polls in the learning platform Articulate.
