BELDAM Belgian Daily Mobility (Research)

Abstract

This project is an update of the previous MOBEL study which was carried out in 1999. This project was responsible for executing the first national survey on the transportation behaviour of Belgian households. The BELDAM project aims to collected detailed travel data at the federal level. The project consists of 3 important phases. 1. In phase 1 the survey is prepared and research teams will identify, in the MOBEL survey, weaknesses and topics that are open to improvement. Also, an overview of general design decisions concerning the survey is drawn up. 2. In phase 2 the survey will be conducted. Several controle measures will be applied. 3. In phase 3 the results will be analysed. This analysis will amount in a detailed report of the conclusions.
