Nanostructured Polymer Photovoltaic devices for efficient solar Spectrum harvesting (PolySpec) (Research)
Abstract
Purposes: The purpose of the project is twofold and related to the realisation of an important evolution on two critical domains for the development of technology leading to polymere or organic solar cells to be used under 1-zon circumstances. On the one hand an important increase in efficienty of this class of thin film solar cells is aimed at. The realisation of an energy conversion efficiency of 10% or more must lead the way to photovoltaic systems that can be used for large scale energy production out of doors. On the other hand and in the same context it is of the utter importance that the stability of such solar cells is increased.
