Project R-2267

Title

A model-based approach for evaluating the safety and environmental effects of traffic policy measures (Research)

Abstract

The principal objective of this research project concerns the development of a framework for the evaluation of traffic policy measures on road safety, the environment and human health. This framework will develop and integrate different submodels, e.g. an activity-based transportation model, an agent-based traffic assignment model, and an emission, dispersion and exposure model, into one overall model framework. The valorisation of the scientific research results will take place by a user committee consisting of representative organisations from the policy domain, the insurance sector and the software industry.

Period of project

01 January 2008 - 31 December 2011
