Explaining and optimizing the financing of the policy plan sustainable transportations (Research)

The final policy plan, developed by the Planning Commission, should be feasible in budgetary terms. To reach this goal, the budgetary impact of all the measures included in the policy plan need to be mapped, taking into account the past commitments. With respect to budgetary feasibility, measures can also be spread in time or priorities can be determined. To determine the impact on the Flemish budget, not only the expenditure side but also the revenue side needs to be conveyed or alternatives such as PPS, European co-financing and more. Through bilateral consultations with the various agencies, the various measures which are considered necessary to achieve a sustainable development of mobility, are mapped and budgeted.
