Title
Data representativeness: issues and solutions (Research)
Abstract
The quality of main data sources most commonly used for EFSA risk assessments, particularly the data from EFSA's pesticide monitoring program, will be assessed for representativeness and fit for purpose. More specifically this assessment will involve a critical review of (1) the quality of the data sources, (2) the impact of the design, sample size used and population characteristics that might be inappropriate or ignored during inference, (3) methods to deal with different types of bias and that as such can reduce or eliminate bias from the inference process.
