Ecoren : Energetic renovation of Flemish representative single-family homes and apartment buildings. (Research)

Ecoren aims at the development and demonstration of market-oriented and socially acceptable energy renovation concepts for single-family houses and apartment buildings representative for the Flemish housing stock, which guarantees continuous residence. By taking into account the financial requirements of the VMSW starting from the design phase, the social housing market is also addressed in addition to the private housing market. The objective is to optimize the construction process (quality, time and budget) and customer satisfaction (desired result, min. inconvenience) through extensive chain cooperation and use of BIM and lean techniques, as well as involvement of occupants from planning to completion. Finally, alternative funding models are developed both for deployment within the VMSW as the private market together with mobilization processes to approach both target groups.
