We kindly invite you to join the ‘Meet the Jury’ seminar, featuring international speakers to discuss their research on 'Making a theory contribution in management research'.

This masterclass will be given by:

  • Prof. Dr. Christoph Grimpe

The masterclass provides method-related knowledge relevant for developing, writing, and publishing scientific papers that make a theory contribution to management research. It provides a paragraph-by-paragraph guide for crafting the introduction section, including exercises that prepare students for applying the methodology to their own research papers.


Bio
Christoph Grimpe is a Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Department of Strategy and Innovation at CBS. Prior to joining CBS in 2010, he worked as a Senior Researcher at ZEW Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim (Germany). He holds a PhD in management from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management – in Vallendar (Germany) and master degrees in management and political sciences. His research is concerned with firm innovation strategies, industry-science linkages, and the strategic use of intellectual property rights. He has published in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Research Policy, as well as in Nature Biotechnology. He is affiliated with DRUID - the Danish Research Unit on Industrial Dynamics and with ZEW Centre for European Economic Research. At CBS, he serves as the coordinator of the MSc concentration “Management of Innovation and Business Development”.
