Content

Are you looking for more effective ways to use generative AI in your research? Do you want to make more time for exploring interesting research questions by making your data processing more efficient? And do you first and foremost want to discover how GenAI models can concretely support research in your scientific field?

Large Language Models like ChatGPT have evolved from “mere” chatbots to powerful virtual assistants capable of surfing the internet, generating images, writing and executing programming code... In this interactive TEXTUA workshop, given by dr. Pieter Fivez (VAIA), you’ll discover how to automate various research processes using these virtual assistants.

Learning outcomes

After having attended this workshop, you will...

  • have more insight into how to use state-of-the-art Large Language Models for automating various research processes.

Competences

An important part of preparing for any further professional step is becoming (more) aware of the competences you have developed and/or want to develop. In the current workshop, the following competences from the UHasselt competency overview are actively dealt with:

  • academic research competences:
    • data management
    • information management
    • research methods
  • intellectual competences:
    • innovativeness
    • problem solving
    • vision
