Do bear in mind that this workshop is in Dutch!
Improvisational theater offers a unique opportunity to experiment with spontaneous ideas, collaboration, and communication in a safe and playful environment. The free nature of improvisation fosters an open, positive mindset. Come and experience how play and creativity can help you grow both professionally and personally, and how it can enhance your well-being in a surprising and enjoyable way.
Through ERLNMYR, dr. Ben Verhoeven, coaches scientists in communicative skills and public speaking. Using techniques from improvised theatre he shows that a good connection between speaker and audience is crucial to convey a message properly. This successful approach helped Ben receive the 2017 Year Prize in Science Communication. He is also three time winner of the Flemish improv competition Kemphanen and won third place with team Belgium at the European Championships of improvised theatre in 2024.
This workshop is part of the two-day initiative ‘Wellbeing inside-out’. During this wellbeing programme on October 10 & 11 the Doctoral Schools join forces with the HR department & team Vitality. 'Wellbeing inside-out' consists of various sessions focusing on mental, physical and social wellbeing, since these 3 are inextricably linked.
