Each PhD project is centred around a PhD student. This might create the impression that the PhD student is the sole, or at least most important, influencing factor when it comes to the progress and end result of the PhD. Nevertheless, there are typically multiple people involved in, and affected by, a project. Each of these people has the potential to either speed up, slow down or even completely obstruct the project’s progress.
This workshop invites you to think about this dynamic within the context of your own PhD, and to reflect on (as well as experience) various interaction patterns. Both the fundamentals of stakeholder management and two basic theories about social interaction will be introduced and explored. There will be a good balance between active exercises and more theoretical reviews.
