Noorderhart Maria hospital
In Noorderhart Rehabilitation & MS we offer specialist medical diagnostics and treatment to people with MS on the one hand and medical specialist rehabilitation diagnostics and treatment to adults with a physical and/or cognitive disability as a result of a disorder in the musculoskeletal system, nervous system or brain on the other. In addition, the center is recognized as an expertise center for coma patients and offers sports medical advice and follow-up to people with disabilities.
- People who need physical and/or functional training after a musculoskeletal condition or surgery can rely on locomotor rehabilitation:
- joint prostheses (total hip or knee prosthesis)
- polytrauma
- hip and pelvic fractures
- amputations
- A locomotor rehabilitation program can be followed in hospitalization or in an outpatient setting, depending on the patient's needs or needs.

There is a possibility to use the student accommodation near the hospital. For your accommodation during your internship you can reach out to:

There is the possibility to eat a warm meal in the staff canteen at a staff & student's discount.

Registration before start internship
Registration before start internship
To be able to start your internship in a hospital or other facility of ZOL, you need to register minimum 14 days before the start of your internship.
Students that are not (correctly) registered, can not start their placement!
The registration is in Dutch and takes some time. Be sure to make an appointment with your internship supervisor (UHasselt) in due time.

A deposit of 10 euros is required for the key to the locker.
