The hospital is less than an hour’s travel from the city center of Hasselt, when using public transport.
There is the possibility to take the train from Hasselt station to Zolder station, with an additional walk/ bike ride of 2,3 km. Trains run every hour. Busses are also accessible from Zolder station to the hospital.
When using solely the bus, multiple combinations are possible ( line 31/35, line X19/31, line X19/35)

Overnight accommodation cannot be offered at the Sint Franciskus Hospital itself. Opposite the hospital there is a boarding school at the Sint-Franciscus College. If desired, you can contact the boarding school.

Registration before start internship
To be able to start your internship in a hospital, you need to register minimum 14 days before the start of your internship.
This is necessary for the processing of all student information and manufacturing of a student ID linked to your placement.
Students that are not (correctly) registered, can not start their placement!
The registration is in Dutch and takes some time. Be sure to make an appointment with your internship supervisor (UHasselt) in due time.
