This event has already taken place.

By 2030, we need to reach the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). However, the annual Sustainable Development Report shows that we made little progress so far. Therefore, planet earth is in need of changemakers for sustainable development who can speed up the required transformative change. In this session, we will discuss some important competence frameworks, such as the Inner Development Goals, that might help you to become one of these changemakers.

Tom Kuppens is assistant professor in education for sustainable development and economics teaching methodology at UHasselt and VUB. His research focuses on creating transformative learning environments for and impact assessment of education for sustainable development. As a co-president of the COPERNICUS Alliance, i.e. the European Network on Higher Education for Sustainable Development (HESD), he calls for more intense collaborations within and between European higher education institutions (HEIs) to co-create new ways of teaching and learning towards sustainability.

No registration needed.

Join us for a cozy drink afterwards at the Green Office room at the agora.
