Student jobs

Do you want to earn some extra money? Hasselt University offers various student jobs within the institution throughout the year, so be sure to register on Jobteaser via your digital student file if you are interested. As a student, you are allowed to work 600 hours per calendar year, which can be spread however you like throughout the year and between different employers. That way, you only pay a minimum amount of social security.

Also international students can work as a job student at UHasselt. Non-EER students who want to work in Belgium, need to have a valid residence permit mentioning ‘arbeidsmarkt beperkt’.  If you need more information about this, you can go to the town hall. During the academic year there is a maximum of 20 working hours per week. During the holidays there is no restriction. International students from EER-countries or Switzerland have the same rights and obligations as Belgian students.

The job service of UHasselt uses a platform to communicate about the available internal and external student jobs and summer jobs. This platform is called Jobteaser Career Center.

Register yourself with your student mail to get access to this exclusive platform. When your profile is completed, you can apply directly for the jobs you are interested in.

Jobs for students submitted by companies or organisations are displayed on the notice boards or placed on Jobteaser.

Employment agencies also have student jobs available. You can always contact some employment agencies in Hasselt.
