The Limburg Clinical Research Centre (LCRC) is a unique collaboration between Hasselt University, Jessa Hospital and the Ziekenhuis Oost-Limburg (ZOL). We want to improve our healthcare, by combining both academic research and clinical practice. Good academic research is the foundation for quality academic education and is an important link in the innovation chain. The research of the faculty focuses on a number of spearhead areas. Several of these spearhead themes are closely linked to socio-economic challenges and opportunities in the region: entrepreneurship and the management of family businesses, environmental economics, logistics and diversity in organizations are some examples.

The REVAL research group of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences focuses on interdisciplinary and technology-supported research within rehabilitation, with attention to clinical applications. The patient is the central focus point, with the aim of promoting the functioning, health and well-being of every person. Through the service platform ReLab, contract research is also possible.

The Centre for Government and Law (CORe) is the research group of the Faculty of Law. CORe focuses mainly on the relations between citizens and government, for example in constitutional law, administrative law, environmental law and tax law. There is also research on the relations between citizens themselves. Think for example of family law, contract law, property law, economic and social law.
