prof. dr. Peter Adriaensens

Peter Adriaensens received his Ph.D. degree in sciences in 1990 from Hasselt University where he became full professor in the Chemistry Department of the Institute of Materials Research in 2018. Since 2019, he is head of the Materials Chemistry Research Group (MATCHEM). He is teaching (bio)chemistry and spectroscopy in different programs and heading the NMR group with focus on the molecular structure, dynamics and nano-morphology of innovative (hybrid) material systems for energy generation and storage. He is also co-heading the Biomolecule Design Group where his research concentrates on cancer metabolism by NMR metabolomics.
