prof. dr. Wanda Guedens

Wanda Guedens has a background in (bio)chemistry. In 2015 she was promoted to the rank of full professor. She obtained her PhD in sciences in 1999 under the supervision of prof. dr. Lucien Van Poucke, with a thesis exploring the potential of chemometrics.

She is the current vice rector of education at Hasselt university and the head of the Biomolecule Design Group (BDG), which focuses on the design and modification of novel protein-based materials for advanced healthcare.
