Adrian Lathouwers completed his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Hasselt University in 2021. As part of his Bachelor's thesis, he worked on the synthesis of novel coumarin-based donor-acceptor chromophores as TADF emitters in the DSOS group. Following that, Adrian completed his Master's degree in Chemistry from KU Leuven in 2023, 'magna cum laude'. There, he interned at Huntsman, where he focused on the polymerization kinetics of potential new bio-based monomers. Under the guidance of Professor Peter Verwilst, Adrian completed his Master's thesis on the rational design and synthesis of novel polyomavirus inhibitors. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in the field of organic semiconductor heterojunction nanoparticles for efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
