Louis Jackers received his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Hasselt University in 2021. During his Bachelor's thesis in the DSOS group, he worked on the synthesis of novel donor-acceptor chromophores for near-infrared OLEDs. In 2023, he obtained his Master's degree in Chemistry at KU Leuven, where he graduated ‘with the highest distinction’. He performed his Master's thesis in the group of Prof. Wim Dehaen, which covered the rational design and synthesis of 1,2,3-triazole-based covalent inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro. Currently, he is doing Ph.D. work on novel materials showing circularly polarized luminescence.
