PhD student
Denys Bondarenko (1999) completed his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Taras Shevchenko National UNiversity of Kyiv in 2021. As his interests broadened to supramolecular chemistry and nanochemistry, he pursued a joint EMM-Nano+ master’s program at KU Leuven and Université Grenoble Alpes. He graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2023. In late 2024 Denys joined the Nanobiophysics and Soft Matter Interfaces group of imo-imomec at Hasselt University as a PhD student. His project aims at developing a porous nanofiber-hydrogel composite as a connective tissue scaffold.
Besides science, Denys is passionate about creating and discovering new flavors in coffee and mixology.
