Srujan Cheruku received his bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Manipal university, India. He went on to receive a master's degree in Bio-electronics and Nanotechnology with highest distinction from Hasselt university, Belgium in 2015. He completed his master thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Marcel Ameloot focusing on the non-linear optical properties of gold nanorods . In October 2015, he received the prestigious Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) PhD Fellowship. His research focuses on the development of hybrid nano-carriers for photo-thermal therapy and bio imaging.
He is currently associated with the NSI group as a guest researcher (vrijwillig wetenschappelijk medewerker).
