Organic Opto-Electronics

The international research group 'Organic Opto-Electronics' (OOE) explores hydrocarbon based electronics for light sensing, emission or conversion into electrical energy. Research focuses on fundamental photo-physical processes at the molecular and meso-scale and how they determine device performance and their physical limits. In addition, the group aims at translating these insights into novel device concepts for future electronic applications in energy and healthcare.

How to collaborate with OOE?

  • Joint research projects: research and development in close cooperation, financed by a third party (e.g. FWO, VLAIO, Horizon Europe, EFRO)
  • Technology/knowledge transfer: you can strengthen your market position through licensing and access to our existing technologies and expertise
  • Partnership: you can cooperate with DSOS and use our technology (possibly) in combination with your own technology to set up a new company
  • Scientific services: OOE has expertise in applied and contract research in collaboration with industry
