Future economy and a just society examines how the social, economic, cultural, legal, political, educational and environmental aspects of our living together can be shaped in a responsible, ethical, inclusive and well-regulated manner. We engage with grand challenges of contemporary society and strive to facilitate social transformation.

We are committed to contributing to the creation of social value, and to finding the delicate balance between competing claims of efficiency, well-being, affordability, sustainability, and fairness. Through integrative and interdisciplinary approaches, we develop and advance academic knowledge – theoretical insights, concepts, models, methods and tools – that fosters equity, justice and well-being. We share our scientific expertise and cooperate with civil society, public and private stakeholders in shaping future economies and just societies.
