Adjusted continuity rules for course units in academic year 2023-2024
As of academic year 2023-2024, the continuity rules for course units at UHasselt will change significantly due to the introduction of a new decree. We advise you to consult the study guide so that you are aware of the continuity rules for course units in your curriculum.

We distinguish three possibilities as of academic year 2023-2024:

  • Hard continuity: you must have been registered for (ipv passed) one or more course units before you can take another course unit (and this for safety reasons).
  • Soft continuity: you must have passed one or more course units before you can enrol for another course unit. Passing is not a requirement.
  • Advisable continuity: the programme strongly advises you to have taken one or more course units, but this is not a requirement.
