2020-12-04: Access to e-bookcollection Elsevier

Since 1st December 2020U, Hasselt has access to the 'Freedom Collection e-Books' from Elsevier, including the backlist. These encompass nearly all monographs across all subject areas offered on the Elsevier platform (around 20,000 e-books). All these e-books can be read and downloaded (permanently) without any restrictions. Only the 'reference works' and 'book series' are not included in our subscription.

All e-books can be searched by title through our A-to-Z e-book list, and they are also fully searchable through our discovery service (the central search bar on the library website's homepage).

On campus, everyone has automatic access to these e-books. By using the aforementioned tools or by utilizing the links on the library website, off-campus access is also covered. Staff members can, of course, make use of a VPN connection as well.
