2023-11-06: Unlimited access to JSTOR Archival Journal & Primary Source Collection

The JSTOR license of UHasselt has been definitively expanded to encompass the entire JSTOR Archival Journal & Primary Source Collection. UHasselt now has access to all journals in JSTOR. As for books, access is limited to open-access e-books.

JSTOR, an abbreviation for 'Journal Storage', is a vast full-text archive that houses over 4,500 journals from various scientific disciplines, with a particular emphasis on the humanities and social sciences.

Until recently, UHasselt had access only to specific JSTOR collections:

• Life Sciences
• Mathematics and Statistics
• Ecology & Botany II

In response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the university has had temporary access to the full JSTOR Archival Journal & Primary Source Collection since 2020. Following numerous positive responses from our users, the University Library has decided to retain this expanded access.

Thanks to this expansion, our students, faculty, and researchers at the University of Hasselt will continue to enjoy unrestricted access to this wide array of academic resources for research and education.
